Join us for a hands-on cooking workshop where you’ll learn to make parathas (Indian flatbreads) from scratch using whole wheat flour. This beginner-friendly program is perfect for anyone who enjoys cooking and wants to explore simple, tasty techniques. You’ll learn to prepare the dough, roll out the parathas, cook them to perfection, and fill them with a variety of delicious savory or sweet fillings, such as sugar, cheese, or seasoned potatoes. All ingredients and supplies are provided.
The program will be offered again on May 9 at the Prince of Wales Branch. Please register only once; duplicate registrations will be cancelled.
Presenter Bio: Gurpreet Kaur is a Programming Assistant at Regina Public Library. She moved to Canada in 2022 with her family and is excited to share her love of Punjabi cooking with others. A proud mother of two teens who enjoy music and play Indian classical instruments, Gurpreet is also an executive member of Multi-Faith Saskatchewan, where she proudly represents her faith and culture in the community.
