About Aubrie Houk
Born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan, Aubrie’s connection to music began at a young age. She started playing the piano at age 5, and while she always had a deep love for song, her true instrumental journey began under unexpected circumstances. When a severe knee injury temporarily kept her off the sports field, she pivoted her energy toward the guitar - a twist of fate that made her a true believer that everything happens for a reason.
Today, Aubrie is a dynamic multi-instrumentalist who sings, plays piano, and plays guitar. She honed her skills through voice and guitar lessons, eventually giving back by teaching voice lessons at Regina's Music In The House. Known for her warm stage presence and unique vocal sound, Aubrie often performs at local fundraisers, weddings, community events, and private gatherings.
Audiences can expect a vibrant mix of genres during her sets, covering everything from folk-rock to country-pop. As a proud, lifelong Swiftie, her acoustic-driven, melodic style is heavily influenced by storytelling powerhouses like Taylor Swift, The Chicks, and Kacey Musgraves.
When she isn't sharing her music on stage, Aubrie keeps just as busy in the community. By day, she works as a Human Resources professional. In her downtime, you can find Aubrie teaching fitness classes at Local Barre, playing ladies' league softball at Douglas Park, and enjoying quality time with her close-knit circle of family and friends.
