Meet the students of Winston Knoll Collegiate's Deaf and Hard of Hearing program who worked with artist Logan MacDonald to develop common understandings and meanings through creative engagement. Enjoy the students' videos created in response to the project and celebrate their experiences and accomplishments. Collaborator Natasha "Courage" Bacchus will also speak about her experience working with the students and her experience as an athlete, performer, and Deaf advocate.
Natasha Cecily Bacchus is an athlete and performing artist, who is passionate about Deaf advocacy, fitness and physical expression. Throughout her life, she has have nurtured her passion for fitness, competing as a professional athlete and securing medal positions in the Deaf Olympics, Pan Am Olympics and many other competitive sporting events. As an actress, she has participated in numerous theatre and film productions and have a strong desire to continue to grow and develop as a performing artist, expanding representation to include differently-abled persons and empowering Black Deaf women in Canada to shine on and off the stage.
