Metis Jigging Performance

Experience the heartbeat of the Metis Nation through the Red River Jig and other traditional dances performed by two Metis jigging groups. Enjoy a toe-tapping afternoon of Metis music and jigging.

This program is part of the Metis Cultural Series in partnership with Western Region 3 – Metis Nation Saskatchewan.

This lively event showcases the heart of Metis culture through music, movement and community. All ages welcome!

Metis Stars

Western Region III, Metis Nation-Saskatchewan proudly presents the Metis Stars. This group of 7-12 year old children love to showcase traditional Metis jigging and square dancing. Come and join us for a fun filled opportunity to view the Metis culture through the art of dance. Enjoy the performance!

In recognition of Metis heritage, culture, and its people, RPL and Western Region 3 - Metis Nation of SK will host programs and performances which showcase Metis history, experiences, culture, music, and dance over 5 weeks, between October 18 – November 16.
