This four-part entry-level job readiness series helps youth, newcomers, and those with limited experience build resumes, ace interviews, and understand workplace expectations to succeed.

Looking for work in Regina’s most common entry-level jobs — such as retail sale associates, restaurant servers, cleaners/housekeepers, warehouse workers, construction laborers, caregivers, parking attendants, or security roles? This workshop teaches you how to apply strategically so you can get more callbacks and interviews, even if you’re new to Canada or have limited work experience.

  • Where employers are hiring right now in Regina (and how to find hidden jobs)
  • How to read a job posting and identify the skills employers want
  • How to match your application to roles like cashier, server, housekeeper, labourer, or caregiver
  • How to apply online using Indeed, SaskJobs, and employer websites
  • How to avoid common mistakes that cause applications to be ignored
  • How to highlight transferable skills from everyday life or past non-Canadian jobs
  • Walk away with a clear job-search plan and practical steps you can use immediately.
