Klatt, Grace Rose (1991)

Grace Rose Klatt's mixed media drawings and paintings are populated with expressionistically distorted figures and symbols she uses to represent aspects of her self and troubled gender relationships. Frequently she incorporates text to suggest or open up the viewer/reader's interpretive possibilities. Kim Sawchuk's writing explores the feminist politics of Klatt's work; Helen Marzolf discusses her bookworks.
