Beautiful Losers documents the exhibition that appeared in Dunlop Art Gallery from April 29 to June 18, 2000. In the exhibition, Michael Fernandes and Janet Werner explored pathos, failure, the contingency of fixed meaning - and how these sentiments are intertwined with the ponderous apparatus of language. Beautiful Losers brings together these two artists in an attempt to articulate inadequacy and resistance in a logo-centric culture.
