Community Commons

A space for everyone.

Everyone is welcome in the Community Commons at Central Library

This is a space for many things:

  • Conversation and idea-sharing
  • Collaboration and connection
  • Reflection and contemplation

At times, the Commons may be:

  • Lively, quiet, or both!

What happens here?

Located at Central Library, the Community Commons hosts regular events throughout the week, and is also available as a come-and-go safe space to relax, think, and share. Drop by to discover the activities, connect with great people, or hang out in the space!

Regular offerings with community partners may include:

  • Pro Bono Family Law Help
  • Thrive Counselling
  • Resume editing
  • Poetry Slams
  • Writer In Residence sessions
  • English Language Conversation Circles
