Roem is a Aboriginal/Vietnamese Regina-based hip-hop artist who has been performing and releasing tracks for the last 8 years including collab EP “Son Of” with PCB in April of this year.
badcarlotta is a Regina based DJ and radio host at 91.3fm CJTR Regina Community Radio where she currently serves as President. You're as likely to hear her spin the newest track as an unearthed soundcloud or tumblr gem from her 2013 harddrive. Hip-hop and dance are her favourites to play at sets, however her inspiration spans many genres. Community is her driving force behind her creative endeavors in the city and she is eager to connect with others who are actively working to make Regina a great place to live.
6figguh, aka Feechi is a rapper and songwriter based in Regina, Saskatchewan, originally from Garden City, Nigeria. He was a featured performer on the Peace and Power Open Mic early January, this year. He was also present for the release of the "Power to Break" EP by his friend/collaborator VC Vibes, aka Jon Vaughn, performing 2 of their unreleased collaborative works: "Put Me Down" and "Love of Money", earlier in March. Earlier this month, he and VC Vibes performed a live set at The Exchange, as part of SaskMusic's Hip Hop Summer Series, sharing the stage with artists such as Roem and Yellow Sky. If you are regular at the Cure Open Mic Nights, you might recognize him from performing some of his songs: “RBF” and “Abuse Is Contagious”. He will also be performing tonight and wants everyone to just come out, have fun and don't make a big deal of it, it's just an Open Mic.
Geanna Dunbar is a Cree-Métis spoken word poet, visual artist, body modification artist, and entrepreneur from Regina with a special interest in sustainable art and interdisciplinary community collaboration. Geanna works in mixed media collage, sculpture, acrylic, street art, chalkboard, window painting, and large-scale murals. She is now YWCA 2024 Women of Distinction Award Winner for Indigenous Resurgence in Action. Her work with The Path of Reconciliation, the longest mural in Saskatchewan - went internationally featured in the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington and published in Hyperallergic Magazine based out of Brooklyn, NY.
