More than 19,000 libraries around the world are participating in Overdrive’s online digital book club #BigLibraryRead and Regina Public Library is one of them! From April 1st – 15th using the Overdrive or Libby app RPL customers can instantly borrow the ebook Homes: A Refugee Story with no waitlists or holds.
Homes by Abu Bakr al Rabeeah and Winnie Yeung is the inspiring true story of the al Rabeeah family who relocated to Syria just before civil war broke out, and how a young boy survived a war zone and found safety in Canada. Homes was a Canada Reads selection this year, and a 2018 Governor General's Literary Award finalist for nonfiction.
