Dunlop Art Gallery (Central Library) exhibition Why the Caged Bird Sings: Immersive Engagements celebrates Indigenous resilience July 14-September 6.

Curated by Judy McNaughton and Tomas Jonsson, Why the Caged Bird Sings is a solo exhibition by Governor General Award-winning interdisciplinary artist Cheryl L’Hirondelle. The exhibition includes immersive, interactive works created in response to songs L’Hirondelle co-wrote with incarcerated and detained populations in Saskatchewan’s correctional facilities.
