How Can We Help You?

Help Topics

Musical Instruments

  • The main instrument collection is located at Central Library, in downtown Regina, with additional instruments at our Sherwood Village Branch.
  • We cannot ship instruments to other branches for pick up due to the risk of damage.
  • Find and place a hold on an instrument using our library catalogue or stop in at Central Library or Sherwood Village Branch for help with borrowing instruments.
  • The card used to place the hold must be present at the time of pick up. You will need to authenticate your hold with your library card PIN.

Instruments can only be returned to the location they were borrowed from during hours of operation.

  • We welcome donations of gently used stringed instruments, keyboards, and light percussion. We cannot accept wind instruments or pianos.
  • If you'd like to donate an instrument, you can bring it to Long and McQuade (1445 McIntyre Street) or Central Library during open hours.
  • As with other donations to Regina Public Library, the library reserves the right to decide on the disposition of all gifts received. All gifts become property of RPL.
  • Charitable tax receipts will not be provided for donated instruments.
