Book Club Test Drive

If you love the idea of getting together with other readers to talk about books, but aren't really sure if the book club format is for you, why not take one for a test drive?

The Big Library Read is a great way to get a feel for what book clubs are like, without making a major commitment. It's all online, so there's no pressure to schedule or show up to a meeting, speak brilliantly on the spot, or dazzle everyone with the perfect snack. 

How does it work? A few times each year, the Libby app gives us free unlimited access to one book for a few weeks, to bring readers together for a global online book club discussion. 

There's no hold or waitlists - just download the eBook or e-audiobook immediately through Libby, read it on your own, then join the discussion forum. You can give your recommendations for similar reads, get recs from other readers, and even submit questions for the author to answer during a live online book discussion.
