Changes for Overdrive app users
Overdrive, one of our main providers of digital reading materials, is streamlining its service by making the Libby app the primary way to enjoy reading on your devices, and to provide the best reading experience for everyone.
What you need to know:
- Starting February 23, the Overdrive app will be removed from the Apple, Google Play, and Microsoft app stores.
- You can continue using the app, but Overdrive won’t be updating or supporting it anymore, so you may notice issues with functionality over time.
- You can still borrow Overdrive materials on Kobo e-readers.
- Overdrive remains available through a web browser, and you can continue to recommend titles for purchase there.
If you are an Overdrive app user, we recommend you check out the Libby app. It’s fun, easy-to-use, and you’ll find all your Overdrive checkouts and holds there.
