Self-Serve Sound Studio

RPL has two Self-Serve Sound Studios available for reservation:

  • Large 4–5-person Studio at Central Library (inside the Digital Media Studio).
    • Dimensions: 7 by 15 feet.
    • Includes recording and mixing equipment, and basic instrument package (guitars, bass, keyboard, and electronic drum set).
  • Small 1–2-person Studio at Sherwood Village branch.
    • Dimensions: 6 by 8 feet.
    • Intended to be a convenient self-serve location for those familiar with recording.

Customers are welcome to bring their own equipment and instruments, but as much detail as possible should be provided when booking. Both spaces are maintained by the Digital Media Studio (DMS) Specialists, who may be booked by appointment for orientation and basic mentorship within available hours.

Certain equipment is always available in each Self-Serve Sound Studio. Special use equipment is also available but must be checked out on your library card on a per use basis. A comprehensive list of equipment and software available in each studio location is available during the booking process.
