This event takes place In-Person at George Bothwell Branch (2965 Gordon Road, in the Southland Mall)
All materials supplied. Feel free to bring along extra supplies if you wish.
Recommended Materials: Cardboard scraps, assorted papers, pencil, ruler, scissors, collage images, glue, tape, decorative items (gems, sequins, ribbons, etc), colouring supplies (pastels, pencil crayons, paint markers, etc).

This event will happen in-person at Sherwood Village Branch. Materials provided, feel free to bring along additional supplies.
Recommended Materials: papers or cardboard to print onto, sheets of craft foam or cardboard scraps, pen or toothpick, scissors, glue stick or glue dots, paints (Tempera work great), paint palettes, sponges or sponge brushes.

Learn about native wildflowers and the importance of selecting non-invasive plants to protect your local prairie biodiversity! Open to ages 12 and older.
Additional Information:
This is an in-person program. Registration is required.
Take home wildflower seeds to sow yourself or plant some with us. If you are feeling extra creative paint a pot for your wildflowers to grow into. Feel free to test your native plant and invasive species prevention knowledge with our trivia, the top three highest scoring participants win a prize!
About the Presenter: Bryanne Wandler is a Youth Coordinator for the prairies division of Youth Eco Stewards, a new initiative Invasives Canada has launched with funding support from Canada Service Corps. Youth Eco Stewards is a national, environmental skills development program for youth between 12-30 years old. Invasives Canada works with partners across the country to deliver tools and resources that call for Canadians to take action and prevent the spread of invasive species.
